New CD release: Global Songs for Worship

We are excited to announce the release of our second recording, Global Songs for Worship. This collection, a collaboration with Greg Scheer, Norma de Waal Malefyt, and the Calvin Institute for Christian Worship, contains 28 songs from 25 countries and is the recorded companion to a songbook of the same name that will be released later this year by Faith Alive Christian Resources.

This was our first time working with Greg and the CICW, an experience we found to be very enjoyable (working with Norma, as always, was also a joy). We are very pleased with the result, and appreciated the opportunity to sing songs from such a wide variety of backgrounds.

Each of the 1500+ attendees of the Calvin Worship Symposium received a copy of the CD as part of their registration. It is also for sale online, for $10 each, from Adoro Music Publishing and will also be available at future TCS events.

Just in time for Christmas: Online ordering of Gaudeamus now available

For those unable to attend our concert tomorrow (Sunday, December 13, 3:00pm at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in downtown Grand Rapids) that would like to purchase copies of Gaudeamus, our first (and only - for now) album, we are pleased to announce that it is now available for online purchase from Adoro Music Publishing.

Orders are shipped within one business day via First Class Mail (First Class International for international orders). The USPS advertises delivery times of 1-3 days for First Class Mail (perhaps a couple of days longer, given the season), so there is still time to place an order in time for delivery before Christmas. The online price is the same as offline - $10, plus shipping and sales tax (Michigan residents).

To place an order, see the track listing, or listen to samples, please visit the Gaudeamus product page on the Adoro Music Publishing web site.

Good news and a little less good news

Congratulations to Henry (Tenor 1) on a new addition to his family! He and his wife have finally reached the joyful end of a long adoption process, and they are in China right now with their daughter Meili and their brand-new son Willem. They are ecstatic and have nothing but good things to say about their newest family member. The rest of us are excited for them as well and can't wait to meet Willem ourselves!

However, since Henry and Liz won't be back from China before our concert on Sunday, we've had to make a few minor program adjustments. Still, with minimal reprogramming and some extra work by Chris and Jason, we think we're on track to present a strong concert on par with our usual standards. Harpist Alison Reese will be joining us for some really lovely carol arrangements and a few other friendly instrumentalists will be livening up a couple of others. Overall, we think we've put together an enjoyable program. Hope to see you at 3 pm Sunday at St. Andrew's--admission is free!
